Construction Summer 2024

The City of Hugo is making improvements to Diamond Point Park (6355 145th Street) in 2024.  A neighborhood meeting was held on May 15 at which four playground designers presented options.  Residents were asked to help select the preferred playground.  They selected a playground designed by St. Croix Recreation.  A river/forest color scheme was requested.  The proposed playground (colors to be chanted) is posted below.  

Residents also voted to replace the sand volley ball court with a pickleball court which was unanimously supported.  Other improvements planned for the park in 2024 include trail repairs, landscaping improvements, and resurfacing of the basketball court. 

Removals have started at Diamond Point Park.  The play equipment will be installed starting August 26.  Blacktop work and the concrete courts will start August 21.  Construction is anticipated to be complete mid-September.  Residents are asked to stay out of the construction area.
