Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission
The Parks Commission is the advisory body to the City Council regarding the development, maintenance and operation of parks, recreation, and open space programs in the City. The Parks Commission is made up of volunteers who value and provide adequate, useful, and attractive parks and open areas to promote public health and fitness, provide for leisure activities, maintain property values, and sustain a high quality of life in the community.
The Parks Commission works to provide immediate and long-term strategic guidance and direction for the development of parks for the citizens and City of Hugo. The Commission meets once a month on the third Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. The meetings are held at Hugo City Hall, 14669 Fitzgerald Avenue North. The meetings are open to the public.
