Nature Trails
The City of Hugo has three special passive parks which have non-paved trails that provide great opportunity to connect with nature.
Clearwater Creek Preserve offers a 1/2 mile creek side trail. Parking is available off of Fable Hill Circle North. The trail surface is made of wood chips and can be uneven or muddy, depending on seasonal conditions. The trail head includes a large park sign and trash receptacle.
Irish Avenue Park is located 14420 Irish Avenue North. A small gravel parking lot is available off of IRish Avenue. Parking and other amenities are available at Hugo Public Works. A small sign and trash receptacle mark the start of the trails. There are several miles of looped trails throughout the property. The trails are mowed can be uneven. Please be respectful of the owners of property adjacent to the parks and access the parks only through the entrances described.

The City of Hugo is also owns two properties that have grass/wood chip trails available for public use. Please note that they have not been designated as passive parks and therefore shooting is not allowed.
The Bernin Property is located at 6540 Greene Avenue. An unimproved parking area is located off of Greene Avenue. The trails are mostly grass. You may encounter mud and narrow trail widths.
The "north water tower" property is approximately 40 acres and has multiple access points. Parking is available off of 161st Street near the north water tower. The wood chip trails are also accessible from paved trails in the Hugo Meadows and Oneka Prairie neighborhoods.
