Water Service Line Inventory

The City of Hugo's Public Works Department has created a Service Line Inventory that documents the type of materials used for water service lines throughout the City.

This project is required by the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the revised Lead and Copper Rule to identify any lead or galvanized service lines requiring replacement that might exist within a water system. The revisions required water suppliers to complete an inventory and send it to the Minnesota Department of Health by October 16, 2024.

Inventory Results
The City of Hugo has completed and submitted our service line materials inventory to the Minnesota Department of Health. As of October 18, 2024, our inventory contains 280 unknown material and 5,153 non-lead lines.

The service line inventory is publicly available, and you can check the materials of your service line by visiting the Lead Inventory Tracking Tool. You may also contact Scott Anderson with any further questions.
